Fundraising time!

Looking at the overall cost of adoption can be overwhelming. So Tom and I are setting goals. One of the blogs I read on adoption made a good point about funds. If you look at the overall cost its likely to cause you to give up. Take each month and make a goal. 
By the end of August we need to raise $5,000. Our goal for June and July is $2,500. Whew! That sounds like a lot.... but we have a plan.

For June and July the following will be some of our fundraising endeavors: 

YOUR OUTDATED ITEMS ARE ANOTHER PERSONS TREASURE - We will be having a garage sale on June 13th and 14th. If you have any unwanted items that you'd like to donate, please email me at jdombrowski@hlcommunity.org. We will also have baked goods, lemonade, and cotton candy for sale. Is baking your specialty? Would you like to donate your blue ribbon winning pie or famous batch of cookies? 

BE A PIECE OF OUR JOURNEY - You've heard it said, "It takes a village to raise a child?" Well, with the cost of adoption it takes a "village" to bring home Baby Dombrowski. I want to remember those who have helped bring our baby home. At the garage sale we are going to have a table set up with a puzzle. Each piece will be for a donation. When you purchase a piece of the puzzle, your name will be written on the back and then when the pieces are all sold, we will frame the puzzle and hang it in the baby's room. When we look at the back we will remember all the people who played a part in our journey. 

COTTON CANDY - Just in case you miss out on the opportunity to purchase cotton candy at the garage sale, we will continue to sell it for $1 a bag. 

SPARE CHANGE? - Have you checked you seat cushions lately? the top of the dryer? shuffled through the clutter of a purse? Did you know that one large M&M Mini's container can hold around $20 in quarters? Carrying around an empty M&M's container and filling it with quarters that you find could be an easy way to help bring home Baby Dombrowski. I will have empty containers with me at church on Sunday and Wednesday if you think this would be the perfect way for you to help. It'd be a great way to get kids involved too!
